The world of jeans after
Let's rewind the tape (for those who don't know, it's the ancestor of Netflix...) and go back in time. At the time of the launch of the Le Beau Jean project, we had asked ourselves the question of French manufacturing. But 4-5 years ago, this seemed impossible to us because the few potential players for our manufacturing were not sufficiently equipped to produce according to our specifications , which are demanding, and the potential cost made it prohibitive.
In the meantime, a lot has happened. Recently, the COVID crisis has accelerated two phenomena. On the one hand, consumers have become acutely aware of the consequences of globalization , and on the other, the French textile industry has mobilized to supply masks to the public in record time.
At the heart of the LBJ project, French engineering
Consider the success of the MIF trade show, and the pride of consuming locally! It's good for morale, good for our country, and good for the environment. There's now a real craze for French-made products , and most importantly, industrial solutions are beginning to emerge. In short, we're facing a new situation: stakeholders are structuring themselves, and the demand is there!
As you already know, Le Beau Jean isn't just a brand with its own style. It's also, and above all, technology and engineering implemented by our team of experts to offer you quality jeans and accessories tailored to your body shape.
Le Beau Jean is now a truly French brand (just a quick reminder: it's seasonal, Le Beau Jean is pronounced in the French way, like the first name). We want to position ourselves on this French identity, while maintaining our DNA and our specificities. So what should we do?
Made in France by Le Beau Jean
At this stage we are very proud of the results obtained!
In December 2019, we expanded our range by offering you a new Made in France accessory: The Chèche . An essential accessory for an elegant wardrobe, our 100% cotton scarf, with its elegantly crinkled appearance, is made in our beautiful Vosges mountains. Available in 4 colors, it delights ladies as much as gentlemen.
In 2021, we developed a second essential accessory in the men's wardrobe: The Belt . This contemporary accessory enhances your jeans and highlights your look. Our belt is handmade in France, in the Doubs region, less than 1 hour from us. It is handcrafted by Julie, which makes each piece unique.
For this year 2022, we are working hard to offer you our first Made in France Selvedge jeans ! And we can tell you, it's not a long, quiet river... But we are on the right track and we hope to unveil this new range to you by the end of summer 2022.
