LBJ x ANAIS collaboration for the creation of the recycled Selvedge ap

When Le Beau Jean and ANAIS teamed up to create the recycled selvedge denim kitchen apron, it was more than just a collaboration. It was a fusion of craftsmanship, sustainability, and social responsibility.

ANAIS's commitment

The mission of the ANAIS Foundation is to support the life paths of people with disabilities and dependencies. Within ANAIS Entreprise, there are 16 EA (Adapted Enterprises) and 15 ESAT (Work Assistance Establishments and Services) that work towards their professional integration and offer an inclusive and quality work environment. Our collaboration has notably developed with the ESAT ANAIS in Gennevilliers (92) and its clothing workshop.

The birth of the recycled Selvedge apron

The Selvedge apron creation process was meticulously orchestrated. Here's how this collaboration resulted in a unique product:

Material Selection: Le Beau Jean supplied the production scraps from its Made in France Selvedge pants. These pieces of fabric, once destined for the scrap heap, were carefully reclaimed to serve as the base for the apron.
Design and production: The designers and managers of the ANAIS sewing workshop applied their expertise to this project. They assembled the pieces of fabric, sewed the edges, and created a sturdy and functional apron.
Authentic details: The Selvedge apron proudly bears the marks of its history. The leather jacron, the branded woven label, and the discreet French flag are all details that tell the story of its origin and its manufacture in France.
Environmental commitment: By using recycled materials, this apron embodies Le Beau Jean's sustainable approach. Every time you wear this apron, you help reduce textile waste and preserve our planet.

And because each piece is unique, we've partnered with another French company, SORGA, to create a digital passport for each apron we make. This way, the authenticity and traceability of each apron produced is guaranteed by a blockchain record!
