Care guide for your belt

Our beauty tips for your belt

Your Le Beau Jean belt is made from full-grain rump leather: the rump is considered the noblest part of the leather, it is located on the back of the animal. It is one of the thickest and firmest areas of the skin. The flanks, collar and all ends have been removed.

Maintaining your belt

Once or twice a year, you can use a maintenance milk using only a soft cloth to clean, nourish and soften the leather of your Le Beau Jean belt.

Mistakes to avoid

To ensure a long and beautiful life for your leather belt, here are some tips to follow:

  • Avoid contact of the belt with printed, screen-printed materials or materials in a color that could migrate onto the leather.
  • Keep the belt away from direct heat sources. It could dry out.
  • Prolonged exposure to the sun (or moon) would tend to make the leather of the belt fade.
  • Do not machine wash your belt, put it in a dryer, or use a hair dryer.

Some points may seem obvious to you, but prevention is better than cure!
