In many cases, before Le Beau Jean, it was better to choose it larger than the ideal size because the raw material tends to shrink in the wash, this being accentuated by the presence of stretch. We have found a process to pre-shrink your jeans. It is simply a small revolution on the selvedge market.
It is also the first Selvedge that will be comfortable and fitted from the first wear. Indeed, purists know that Selvedge jeans are best bought raw. This raw material is generally quite stiff and uncomfortable for a few wears. Our preparation process gives it a pleasant and comfortable feel, while retaining its raw, new, dark and authentic appearance. It is unique on the market.
The icing on the cake is that our process is carried out in France in a company that uses the most environmentally friendly treatments possible. In fact, our Selvedge is 100% made in France. We are all sensitive to the famous “Made In France”, and even more so since COVID and the mobilization of textile players to supply masks and medical equipment.
What we don't know, or hardly know, is that the players in France are few in number, have suffered from outsourcing, and are therefore inefficient or poorly equipped. But their passion for beautiful products gives them the energy to persevere, and we've found a few gems that have allowed us to manufacture our Selvedge jeans in accordance with our specifications.
The details of the specifications for the LBJ Selvedge
All Le Beau Jean pants are adapted to men's body shapes. This is the Le Beau Jean DNA: a good fit, enhancing the buttocks. This may seem like nothing, but it's a small revolution. It took us 3 years of development to characterize and model the different body shapes and make it an industrializable model. As a result, with our variation according to 3 silhouettes (Le Classique, Le Galbé, Le Futé) we are halfway between ready-to-wear and made-to-measure. It is not immediately obvious, but when you wear one of our pants, you will feel the comfort and you will see your silhouette enhanced.
The Selvedge Le Beau Jean incorporates all the LBJ premium codes and finishes, those details that give it its identity, that refine it but that also cause additional manufacturing costs, let's not hide it. We're going to talk technically, because we believe it's important to specify the quality of manufacture so that you appreciate the difference.
To take a tour of the property, let's start with the exterior, which can be seen quite quickly:
- Double stitching refined to only 3 mm along the legs and on the pocket edges.
- Single-stitched, double-sided loops, without zig-zag on the reverse side, are more chic.
